I'm very happy to announce the 5th anniversary of my skinning website www.winmodify.com

It's been a great 5 years. I remember when I first visited WC, DeviantART and other skinning websites as I already was customizing my own PC a little bit. It was a dream to have my own website like the ones mentioned above. Now 5 years later I kind of have. Its not NEARLY as big as WC or DA but who knows in another 5 years :-D there's plenty of room to grow further.

Anyway, A lot of visitors of my website also came/come from DeviantART, so I want to thank you guys for supporting me and my website. I feel proud that my site is still running after 5 years since skinning sites often come and go. What some people don't know is that i'm the only person who is running the website for 4 out of 5 years. And it takes a lot of my time as you can imagine. It has been hard work but also a lot of fun!

To celebrate this, we've opened up 2 sections: IconPackager and Vistart skins, we've also upped the max. preview size from 500KB to 1MB, and there's now also a zoom function for Bootscreens and Logonscreens.

So here's to another upcoming 5 years!

... it's taking so long ... the WinModify relaunch... the beta should have been launched about 3 months ago, and there is still not much progress, the coders at WinModify are doiing their very best, but it's so much work, and everyone still has their own lives :-P so coding could take another 2 months. At this time i'm hoping to launch a steady beta (or more) by the end of this year...

WinModify from now on runs on its owns server, this makes the speed of the website increase, Let's hope the visitors will be increasing too. We now have about a steady 1000 unique visitors a day.

We've got some really awesome stuff coming up by the end of this year, another whole new design and a whole bunch of new opportunities and functions You can see the preview of our new design in my 'scraps' here on deviantART.

Some of the new functions ;

- You can add news and skins to your favourites and/or track them for activity.
- Our wallpapers section will be divided into catagories making it easier to find the wallpaper you want
- Latest skins, this section will be extended so you can choose the latest in every catagorie
- Messagecentre, send messages to other members of our website and keep in touch...
- All or most of the forms will include rich-text format making it easier to submit news or other stuff..

This whole website will run on a self-made CMS made by a friend of mine, It's going to be called 'Nexxos'. Thanks to Nexxos it's going to be much more easy to add new functions to the website.

If you have any ideas for our website, let yourself be heard, you might find your function build in, into our website by the end of this year..

Hmm, that subject makes it more drastic than it is :-P

Hi, A little while ago we've relaunched the WinModify website and recently more functions has been added to the website, such as a edit function.

I want to invite everybody who is reading this to my skinning website, if you like it, please consider commenting on news-items, or on skins. We also appreciate uploads ofcourse
